I am sooo jealous. That is an unusually spacious garage, top find!
I suppose I'm lucky to be able to use a garage at all (hehe, the folks had no option, my car WAS going in one of the two garages and that was it ), but there is a wall in the middle which is unusual and there is no
room at the end; in fact it sort of extends over the bonnet of my car, I couldn't have a bigger car because it wouldn't fit! I have to park it right
over to one side just to get in; already managed to take a chip out of the door edge against the wall
Love the phone to, you can order up takeaway food from the house!
Cheers

thanks for the comments Gents.
Isn't it sad how we can be made so happy by the availability of such a building? Its so much easier for me now, as everything came out of the cellar
in the old house everyone who was helping kept gasping as yet another box of detailing appeared. They all kept asking how I ever managed to lug it
all in and out AND have any energy left to actually detail the car (or words to that effect)
Hoping to have my first 'play' tomorrow. I'm off thu and fri so maybe a wash and quik wax just to have a quiet hour to myself once I've re-laid
the flags, fitted and trimmed the two blainds in the kitchen, fixed the leaking rad in the third bedroom, pressure washed the drive and paths,
made/fixed and mounted a fence to stop the dogs going onto the rear lawn, etc etc, etc

If you have a ganders at the power shot, I've also had to go buy a heavy duty entension to run up to the bench, the ornage cable. This then goes
into a four gang socket so I can plug the stereo in and use any power tools at the bench.
The tranny for the PC will be being pluged straight into the wall.....

well since this post on 5.8.05 I'm still working at it.
I've not painted one wall and replaced the carp chip board shelving with ply wood.
I've had to do some sealing work around the base, some am about to go out today, and dried floor pending, applied the seal internally around the edge
and paint the next wall. Unfortunately each wall is needing three coats of paint.
I've also fitted by propper garage hooks to hold everything securely. And once its all painted up, I'm going to fit some door to the front of the
bottom shelves:

right, off to paint before getting ready to go do a day's work!

Is it coming through the front door? You've said you have sealed everywhere else, this is the only other area that can't be sealed.
Try putting down some cheapo talc around the edges, to maybe trace the source of the leak.

I've sealed all the way round inside, and I've managed 95% of the outside. The sealant still hasn't full dry and bonded inside so I suppose the
water could be forcing its way under it until we get some driier warmer weather.
I've just been and done the third anf fourth wall coats so that's that wall done now, only the back bench wall remaining.

had a good weekend of progress, my edging selant has finally dried out, and even tho we've had some serious down pours the water appears to be
staying outside now
This morning I emptied the back bench out, paint the back wall (used decent paint and got it done in two coats), and on return from the tip (old
shelving chipboard and carpets) I made a purpose build free standing shelf to bridge over my tool box to keep the stereo and speakers on, give me more
bench room/uses the space more efficiently.
Next is the floor paint, just got to ensure its staying dry first, and then pressure washer it out and leave to dry (may have to book some time off
work to get this bit done).

I'd consider just sealing it especially if its in good condition atm. Painted floors are just too high in maintenance to keep them looking good.

If by "Full inline RCD" you mean that one RCD covers the whole installation then that can cause a problem. When the RCD trips your literally left in
the dark! Then again I may be reading your post wrong.
As for shock free, don't you believe it. I've had a couple of shocks in which the 30mA RCD's did NOT trip. I tested the trip time of the RCD's
afterwards and they were both ok.

Hi John
The main socket next to the consumer unit will be RCD, the other sockets will be linked to a trip, lights direct to consumer on separate fuses. A pro
sparky is doing the job for me, I'm just the car detailer in this equation:qq:

YG - wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to just fit these to your sockets - only £15 from screwfix.

made the next improvement this weekend. Having removed the minging fitted wardrobes from our bedroom, I promtly, with NYGs assistance tailored them
into the garage
when we moved in last July:

and how it is today

just need a good lick of paint, and some flooring.

Looks good YG, now you don't have to keep it tidy, just shove everything in the cupboards and close the door. Out of site etc
Loving the new Grand scenic.
