Ferrari fined $100,000 but result stands
My decision to let Alonso pass - Massa
Ferrari have been fined $100,000 for breaching sporting regulations after appearing to implement team orders during the German Prix.
The Italian team has also been referred to the sport's governing body, the FIA, after Felipe Massa slowed down to allow team-mate Fernando Alonso
past to win.
However the result of the race, won by Alonso from Massa, is unaffected.

oh dear.. still if they wanted to pass on team orders you would have thought they would or could have been a bit more subtle and less obvious about
it.. oh well still it keeps things interestin i suppose

He's faster than you (hint hint)
I'm not really in to F1 but that was pretty blatant cheating.
They should fine the team as well as the drivers points for that. All were willing parties.

Blatant team orders, can't be dressed up as anything else
The thing that bugs me most is the obvious lying in the press conference's afterwards trying to convince us that we didn't see what we saw
One of the excuses they use is "it was done for the team"?? The team would have come away with a one-two regardless of which
driver finishes first. Alonso doesn't get any more points for finishing first than Massa would have?

Yep just like they did to McLaren back in 07! Err no that's not right is it, so snipe do you have positive proof that the both drivers were willing
parties? No you don't and with out positive proof there's hardly anything they could do to say Alonso.
They could I suppose try to punish Massa, but then he was the Only competitor to actually suffer! suppose they could try to make an example of him,
but that's hardly the point.
Luca stuck two fingers up to the FIA, you know the organisation that those badly informed claim is in "Ferrari's back pocket!
Back to the issue of team orders, will I am sure you know it has always and still does exists.
So that issue is now back in the open, and no doubt whilst some would like it and Ferrari not to be headlining things, at least it stops the
hypocrisy.
"Cheating" is it really cheating, why not take a good look back at the history of F1 to see for yourself.
and how about this one then. Hamilton gets instruction before the half way mark to go into fuel save mode, indeed he is told to use there most
economical setting, something that they have not had to do all season.
Button is a mere 2 seconds behind , is known to be much lighter on fuel use, yet given this still falls off the back of his team mate! Is that
cheating, I mean not racing each other?
Was that a coded message to stop racing? is that also fare to punters? not to actually race?
With 3 laps to go, Hamilton was told he could come off the econ setting!
How strange was that? I aint knocking it, as far as I am concerned, the Teams are more important than the drivers are they pay the bills its their
name that is symbolic with racing, and the main sponsors, favour a team first.
"CHEATING" no it bloody F1, unless that is they chuck Ferrari out of the championship.
And for those silly enough to think thats a good idea, then hope it happens for your sake, cuzz then you can watch virgin, williams ect in 2013, and i
will watch Ferrari McLaren Mercedes Renault red bull ect....

$100,000? Hardly worth it really is it? I reckon the Fezza bosses have dropped more than that in a tip in the pub before .....

The $100k was utterley pointless (and that's the point they should have docked points to really punish them)

I feel the team and drivers should have been deducted points, afterall thats what they did it for, so remove what they gained and its fair again, will
stop anyone else in the future me thinks ;)
